The Knights of Columbus is the world's largest lay Catholic family service organization. Our mission is to help each member become closer to God, the Church, and each other, through the four principles of our order: Charity, Unity, Fraternity, and Patriotism. "By their deeds you shall know them."
The Knights of Columbus is very much a grassroots organization. The international body does not dictate the charitable programs and activities of local councils. Rather, local councils develop the programs we believe will best serve the needs of our community.
Knights of Columbus council and Altar Society members work together at various functions for the good of the parishes. Council members lead the rosary at funerals for deceased knights or spouses of knights.
If you are interested in becoming a member of the Knights of Columbus please contact the Grand Knight. Each month, the officers' meeting is the first Tuesday and the regular meeting is the third Tuesday. Each meeting is at 7:00 pm at Keenan Hall located on the grounds of SS. Peter & Paul Church.
This is a group of Cluster ladies devoted in spirit to our Church and each other. We are here to support Fr. Rich, members of our parish family and community of Northern Lapeer County. Our group is actively involved in the support of many other groups within our cluster including: North Branch Knights of Columbus, Faith Formation, Vacation Bible School, and others.
Meetings are every 1st Wedneday of the month at 11:00 am in Keenan Hall.
Combines a prayerful ministry with the making of shawls with care and love that reaches out to those in need of comfort and solace. Many blessings are put into every shawl.
Each shawl is begun with prayers for the recipient. Intentions are continued throughout the creation of the shawl. When the shawl is completed it is offered with a final ritual of a special blessing before being sent along its way.
The making of a prayer shawl embodies our thoughts and prayers for the receiver. It is a gift freely given with no strings attached. Made in prayer, as prayer, and for prayer, the shawls are passed hand-to-hand and heart-to-heart.
There is no charge for the prayer shawl, but donations to our ministry are gratefully accepted. These donations will allow our ministry to purchase more yarn and continue the "ripple effect" of unconditional love.
We meet on the second Tuesday of each month at 1:30 pm in the Msgr. McKay library at SS. Peter & Paul Church.
